Thank you all for being part of GICC in 2017. I think you’ll agree that it has been hectic but also incredibly fulfilling to see the shared services sector grow not just in size but in confidence; to meet more and more new colleagues; and to advance our policy agenda by working together.
We started the year with less than 30 members, set a blue-sky goal of 50—and surpassed it. GICC now has 58 registered members, each one meaning better jobs and new knowledge for the country; a healthy financial position; and a community that shares learning while challenging each of us to do better. For all these things, we are thankful.
We intend to ride this momentum into 2018, continuing our focus on competitiveness and the business climate. We’ll be doing more in Cebu, and prioritizing activities that will bring the most value to the members.
All these and more will be on the agenda for the Board planning session in January. But that is weeks away.
For now, on behalf of the Board – Elaine, Paolo, Pat, Chris, Gigi, Peter and Noel – and the executive management team, I wish you a meaningful holiday and a wonderful start to 2018.
